Abstract:
The interstellar medium is magnetized and turbulent. Radio polarization observation provides an important tool to study its properties. In this talk, I will present new polarization observations of supernova remnants and Galactic diffuse medium with FAST and other telescopes. I will then briefly introduce our plan to measure multi-scale magnetic field in the university with SKA pathfinders and future SKA.
CV:
Xiaohui Sun, a professor at School of Physics and Astronomy, Yunnan University. He obtained his PhD at 2007 from National Astronomical Observatories, CAS, and did postdocs at Max-Planck-Institute for Radio astronomy and The University of Sydney. His research field is polarization and magnetic field.
