Title: An HI view of the nearby galaxies
Speaker: Jing Wang (KIAA/PKU)
Time: 3 pm, Dec. 06 (Thursday)
Location: Lecture Hall, 3rd floor
Abstract:
Galaxies are ecosystem of the stars of different ages and gas of difference phases; gas actively participates in almost every aspect of galaxy evolution. I will introduce my work in the past years, about gas accretion, the distribution of HI in galaxies, the relation between HI and star formation, and the subsequent evolution of the stellar discs.
