Abstract:
Our Yamaguchi University radio astronomy group has begun to make observations with the Yamaguchi 32-m radio telescope since 2002. Main targets for single-dish observations of the telescope are daily flux monitoring of active galactic nuclei, large-scale survey of 6.7 GHz methanol masers in massive star-forming regions, radio recombination line at the Galactic center, and so on. We also implement collaboration with China and Korea to promote the East Asia VLBI Network (EAVN), and mapping observations of 6.7 GHz methanol masers have been performed betweenthe Japanese VLBI Network (JVN) and the Shanghai 25-m radio telescope from 2010. I will introduce general performance and current development of the telescope, and some scientific results obtained by recent observations.
